Learn More

The Juanita C. Grant Foundation and Chattanooga Tennessee Urban League’s Senior Community Service Employment Program are providing certified VCE Ambassadors to conduct outreach calls 1-3 times per week in over 20 states to older adults. These calls are opportunities to help individuals reconnect with their friends, family members and activities in their community.

MAKING THE CASE FOR ECONOMIC STABILITY….

The Juanita C. Grant Foundation (JCGF) conducts ongoing research to examine essential areas that present challenges and rewards for the 50+ community. Our findings show economic stability is the “hub” for maintaining three key areas for a quality life. The areas are  (1) to age comfortably in one’s home, (2) socialize to prevent isolation and (3) effectively manage health conditions. With this in mind, JCGF’s education and training programs advocate embracing the Age-Friendly Community principles. JCGF is raising the awareness of communities to plan for all ages to work, play and age well together.

STRATEGIC PLAN

The strategic planning process for the Juanita C. Grant Foundation is a deliberate and systematic our organization undertakes to define and implement our mission, vision, and objectives, while also identifying the strategies and actions needed to achieve them. WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

Good Morning,

I want to express my appreciation for the incredible workshop presentation the Juanita C. Grant Foundation gave on Elder Abuse, Domestic Violence and Fraud Prevention at the Upper Marlboro Community Center on January 16, 2025, for the Jet Setters Senior Program.

Every panelist that spoke was impressive, and we were particularly impressed by the way you could engage and connect with the Seniors. The panelists passion on the topics were infectious and had us hanging on every word.  We especially appreciate the way you presented complex ideas in a clear and accessible way, making it easy for everyone to follow and understand.

The Seniors were impressed and expressed how great the session. We would love to have you come back and do another presentation.  Again, thank you for your contributions, time, and efforts through serving the community. It is greatly appreciated!

- Diane Watson, Coordinator, Upper Marlboro Jet Setters Senior Program

Thank you and your wonderful peers for presenting at our October 21st Lunch and Learn workshop on Elder Abuse Awareness and Fraud Prevention. It was a pleasure to host you and the Juanita C. Grant Foundation team!

Our community members appreciated the information and resources you shared about elder abuse (including financial fraud) and enjoyed playing the bingo game that tested their knowledge of content learned. What a creative and fun way to engage participants.

- Marci LeFevre, Aging and Wellness Services Manager Department of Community Services City of Hyattsville

Thank You's Are Still Coming In!

We are still receiving thank you's and praise for your talk here last week! The information and your presentation were so engaging and engrossing. Folks truly appreciated what you had to say, your presentation style, and the time you took to listen to and answer questions.
